Abstract
A sensor device includes a sensor, which may include an acoustic wave resonator structure, having a surface to which analyte capture ligand is bound. The device also includes a crowding agent to reduce the ratio of binding of an analyte in a sample composition to the analyte capture ligand when the sample composition is flowed across the surface of the sensor.
Claims20
A system for sensing analyte comprising:
- a fluid channel;
- a sensor at the fluid channel;
- an analyte capture ligand bound to at least a portion of the sensor;
- and
- a crowding agent bound to at least a portion of the sensor and configured to slow kinetics of target analyte capable of binding to the analyte capture ligand,
- wherein the crowding agent is different from the analyte capture ligand.

A system for sensing analyte comprising:
- a fluid channel;
- a sensor at the fluid channel;
- an analyte capture ligand bound to at least a portion of the sensor;
- a cover defining at least a portion of the fluid channel;
- and
- a crowding agent bound to a surface of the cover, at least a portion of the fluid channel, at least a portion of the sensor, or any combination thereof,
- wherein the crowding agent is configured to slow kinetics of target analyte capable of binding to the analyte capture ligand, and
- wherein the crowding agent is different from the analyte capture ligand.
