Method for producing a body unit, and vehicle

A method to produce a body for a vehicle, the body having a firewall for frontally delimiting a passenger compartment and having a floor structure for defining a vehicle floor, the method comprising:

• mounting a bridge that bridges a mounting space to mount a functional unit of the vehicle in a force transmission region of the firewall to transmit a force from the firewall to the bridge such that the bridge extends, at least in sections, from the force transmission region toward the passenger compartment;
• and
• mounting a support on the floor structure to support the bridge with respect to the floor structure such that the bridge and the support form a support structure to support the firewall with respect to the floor structure.
