Discovery and Predictive Simulation of Software-Based Processes

A tangible, non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed, cause at least one processor to perform a set of operations comprising:

• obtaining a representation of a workflow;
• obtaining a trained predictive model associated with the workflow;
• providing a parameter to the trained predictive model;
• simulating, based on the parameter, the workflow using the trained predictive model;
• determining, based on the simulation, an operational characteristic associated with the workflow;
• and
• executing the workflow according to the operational characteristic.

A computing device comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• a tangible, non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to perform a set of operations comprising:
• obtaining a representation of a workflow;
• obtaining a trained predictive model associated with the workflow;
• providing a parameter to the trained predictive model;
• simulating, based on the parameter, the workflow using the trained predictive model;
• determining, based on the simulation, an operational characteristic associated with the workflow;
• and
• executing the workflow according to the operational characteristic.
