Methods for inhibiting fascin

A pharmaceutical composition comprising

• a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of Formula III
• or a tautomer, and/or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein
• R30 is selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl, lower alkenyl optionally substituted with phenyl, phenyl optionally substituted with 1 or 2 substituents independently selected from the group consisting of nitro and halo;
• R31 is selected from the group consisting of lower haloalkyl, —OH, —OR9, —SH, —SR7, —NR10R10, halo, cyano, nitro, —COH, —COR7, —CO2H, —CO2R7, —CONR10R10, —OCOR7, —OCO2R7, —OCONR10R10, —SO2NR10R10, and —NR10SO2R7;
• p is 0, 1 or 2;
• X30 is C(═O) or S(O)2;
• R7 is lower alkyl;
• R9 is phenyl;
• and
• each R10 is independently hydrogen or lower alkyl, or two R10 together with the atom(s) attached thereto form a ring.
