Abstract
Methods of identifying an enriched heterogeneous renal cell population having therapeutic potential, enriched heterogeneous renal cell populations having therapeutic potential and uses for same.
Claims24
A method of identifying an enriched heterogeneous renal cell population as having a therapeutic potential, comprising:
- determining whether cells of the enriched heterogeneous renal cell population express:
- (i) NEPH1;
- and
- (ii) one or more markers,
- wherein the one or more markers comprises one or more of:
- lim homeobox protein 1 (LHX1), and fibroblast growth factor 8 (FGF8), receptor for activated C kinase 1 (RACK1) or rearranged during transfection (RET);
- and
- identifying the enriched heterogeneous renal cell population as having therapeutic potential if cells of the enriched heterogeneous renal cell population are determined to express:
- (i) NEPH1;
- and
- (ii) the one or more markers.
