Method and system for cloud extended attribute profile

A peripheral device comprising:

• a communications subsystem;
• and
• a processor;
• wherein the peripheral device is configured to:
• transmit, to a connector device, a first message over a short-range communications protocol connection, the first message comprising an indication that a payload size is greater than a threshold;
• receive, from the connector device, a read command for the payload;
• and
• transmit the payload to the connector device.

A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon executable code for execution by a processor of a connector device, the executable code comprising instructions for:

• transmitting, to a connector device, a first message over a short-range communications protocol connection, the first message comprising an indication that a payload size is greater than a threshold;
• receiving, from the connector device, a read command for the payload;
• and
• transmitting the payload to the connector device.
