Abstract
A liquid crystal composition contains at least one compound selected from compounds represented by Formula (1), at least one compound selected from compounds represented by Formula (2), and at least one compound selected from compounds represented by Formula (3). For example, R1, R2, and R3 are C1-12 alkyl, L11, L14, L15, L22, L23, L32, L33, Y11, Y21, Y31, and Y32 are hydrogen, L12 is fluorine, and L13, L21, and L31 are methyl.
Claims32
A liquid crystal composition, comprising at least one compound selected from compounds represented by Formula (1), at least one compound selected from compounds represented by Formula (2), and at least one compound selected from compounds represented by Formula (3),
- in Formula (1) to Formula (3),
- R1, R2, and R3 are hydrogen, a halogen, or C1-12 alkyl in which at least one —CH2— may be substituted with —O— or —S—, at least one —(CH2)2— may be substituted with —CH═CH— or —C≡C—, and at least one hydrogen in these groups may be substituted with a halogen;
- L11, L12, L13, L14, L15, L21, L22, L23, L31, L32, and L33 are hydrogen, a halogen, C1-3 alkyl, or C3-5 cycloalkyl;
- and
- Y11, Y21, Y31, and Y32 are hydrogen or a halogen.
