Abstract
Within examples, a system is described that includes a control lever for controlling operation of a device, a first actuator coupled to the control lever via a rod, and a resettable frangible link coupling a second actuator to the control lever via the rod. The resettable frangible link enables separation of coupling of the second actuator from the control lever based on an applied force to the rod by the first actuator.
Claims20
A system comprising:
- a control lever for controlling operation of a device;
- a first actuator coupled to the control lever via a rod, wherein the first actuator is configured to control the control lever in a first operation mode of the device;
- and
- a second actuator coupled to the control lever via the rod and a resettable frangible link, wherein the second actuator is configured to control the control lever in a second operation mode of the device.

An aircraft, comprising:
- an engine;
- and
- a system coupled to the engine, the system comprising:
- a control lever for controlling operation of the engine;
- a first actuator coupled to the control lever via a rod, wherein the first actuator is configured to control the control lever in a first operation mode of the engine;
- and
- a second actuator coupled to the control lever via the rod and a resettable frangible link, wherein the second actuator is configured to control the control lever in a second operation mode of the engine.
