Queue management system and method

A server system, comprising:

• a memory storing instructions;
• and
• processing circuitry that, when executing the instructions, is configured to:
• receive a first indication of a guest entering a queue for an attraction of an amusement park;
• receive a second indication of the guest preparing to access the attraction;
• receive operational status data for the attraction based on the second indication;
• and
• provide a reservation associated with the attraction based on the operational status data indicating that the attraction is nonfunctional, wherein the reservation is configured to grant the guest access to the attraction based on the operational status data indicating that the attraction is functional.

One or more non-transitory, computer-readable media having computer-readable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a data server system, cause the one or more processors to:

• receive a first indication of a guest entering a queue associated with an attraction of an amusement park based on verifying identification information associated with the guest at a first location associated with the attraction;
• receive a second indication of the guest preparing to board the attraction based on verifying the identification information at a second location associated with the attraction;
• receive operational status data for the attraction based on the second indication;
• and
• generate a reservation associated with the attraction based on the operational status data indicating that the attraction is nonfunctional, wherein the reservation is associated with the guest and configured to grant the guest access to the attraction upon the operational status data indicating that the attraction is functional.
