Compositions of bile acids and phenylbutyrate compounds

A composition comprising:

• (a) about 15% to about 45% w/w of 4-phenylbutyric acid (4-PBA) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof;
• (b) about 5% to about 15% w/w of taurursodiol (TURSO);
• (c) about 8% to about 24% w/w of dextrates;
• (d) about 1% to about 6% w/w of sugar alcohol;
• and
• (e) about 22% to about 35% w/w of maltodextrin,
• wherein the 4-PBA or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and the TURSO have a ratio by weight of about 3:1.
