Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a multi-link communication method. Specifically, a non-AP MLD initiates a multi-link setup between the non-AP MLD and an AP MLD according to communication reachability between a respective non-AP STA affiliated with the non-AP MLD and a respective AP affiliated with the AP MLD corresponding to each of M links to be set up; where M is a positive integer.
Claims20
A multi-link communication method, comprising:
- initiating, by a non-access point multi-link device (non-AP MLD), a multi-link setup between the non-AP MLD and an access point multi-link device (AP MLD) according to communication reachability between a respective non-access point station (non-AP STA) affiliated with the non-AP MLD and a respective access point (AP) affiliated with the AP MLD corresponding to each of M links to be set up;
- wherein M is a positive integer.
A multi-link communication method, comprising:
- receiving, by an access point multi-link device (AP MLD), a first association request frame or a second association request frame through one of access points (APs) affiliated with the AP MLD;
- wherein the first association request frame is used for requesting to set up a link corresponding to a non-access point station (non-AP STA) affiliated with a non-access point multi-link device (non-AP MLD) among M links, in which the non-AP STA is within a reachable communication range of an AP affiliated with the AP MLD;
- wherein the second association request frame is used to for requesting to set up the M links;
- and
- the second association request frame comprises relevant information on whether the M links are reachable in communication, and/or the second association request frame comprises relevant information on whether the M links are enabled;
- and
- M is a positive integer.
A non-access point multi-link device (non-AP MLD), comprising a processor and a memory, wherein the memory is configured to store a computer program, and the processor is configured to call the computer program stored in the memory and run the computer program, to enable the non-AP MLD to perform:
- initiating a multi-link setup between the non-AP MLD and an access point multi-link device (AP MLD) according to communication reachability between a respective non-access point station (non-AP STA) affiliated with the non-AP MLD and a respective access point (AP) affiliated with the AP MLD corresponding to each of M links to be set up;
- wherein M is a positive integer.
