Abstract
This application provides a multi-path data flow steering method and an apparatus, and relates to the field of communication technologies. The method includes: a communication device obtains a data flow, where the data flow includes a first group of protocol data unit sets and a second group of protocol data unit sets. The communication device determines a steering mode that is based on each group of protocol data unit sets, and sends the first group of protocol data unit sets on a first path. The communication device sends the second group of protocol data unit sets on a second path.
Claims20
A method, wherein the method comprises:
- obtaining, by a communication device, a data flow of a service used on a terminal, wherein the data flow comprises a first group of protocol data unit sets and a second group of protocol data unit sets;
- determining, by the communication device, a steering mode that is based on each group of protocol data unit sets;
- sending the first group of protocol data unit sets on a first path according to the steering mode;
- and
- sending the second group of protocol data unit sets on a second path according to the steering mode.
A method, wherein the method comprises:
- receiving, by a network device, a session establishment request message from a terminal device;
- establishing, by the network device, a session comprising an extended reality (XR) quality of service (QOS) flow;
- and
- sending, by the network device, indication information to a communication device, wherein the indication information indicates a steering mode that is based on each group of protocol data unit sets, wherein the indication information further indicates, to the communication device, to send a first group of protocol data unit sets on a first path according to the steering mode and to send a second group of protocol data unit sets on a second path according to the steering mode.
A device, wherein the device comprises:
- at least one processor;
- and
- a memory coupled to the at least one processor;
- the memory stores computer program code;
- the computer program code comprises computer instructions;
- and when the at least one processor executes the computer instructions, the device is enabled to perform:
- obtaining a data flow of a service, wherein the data flow comprises a first group of protocol data unit sets and a second group of protocol data unit sets;
- determining a steering mode that is based on each group of protocol data unit sets;
- sending the first group of protocol data unit sets on a first path according to the steering mode;
- and
- sending the second group of protocol data unit sets on a second path according to the steering mode.
