A battery comprising:

• an explosion-proof structure comprising:
• a cover plate;
• and
• an explosion-proof groove provided on the cover plate, wherein the explosion-proof groove comprises one or more first sub-grooves and one or more second sub-grooves;
• H1<H2, wherein H1 denotes a thickness of a part of the cover plate where the first sub-groove is located, and H2 denotes a thickness of a part of the cover plate where the second sub-groove is located;
• wherein the part of the cover plate where the first sub-groove is located is opened under a first pressure denoted by P1, and the part of the cover plate where the second sub-groove is located is opened under a second pressure denoted by P2, wherein the first pressure satisfies 0.5 Mpa<P1<1.5 Mpa;
• and the second pressure satisfies 1.5 Mpa≤P2<2.5 Mpa;
• a core;
• and
• a housing in which the core is mounted, wherein one end of the housing is formed with an opening, and the cover plate is sealingly connected to the housing to seal the opening.

A battery pack comprising the battery comprising:

• an explosion-proof structure comprising:
• a cover plate;
• and
• an explosion-proof groove provided on the cover plate, wherein the explosion-proof groove comprises one or more first sub-grooves and one or more second sub-grooves;
• H1<H2, wherein H1 denotes a thickness of a part of the cover plate where the first sub-groove is located, and H2 denotes a thickness of a part of the cover plate where the second sub-groove is located;
• wherein the part of the cover plate where the first sub-groove is located is opened under a first pressure denoted by P1, and the part of the cover plate where the second sub-groove is located is opened under a second pressure denoted by P2, wherein the first pressure satisfies 0.5 Mpa<P1<1.5 Mpa;
• and the second pressure satisfies 1.5 Mpa≤P2<2.5 Mpa;
• a core;
• and
• a housing in which the core is mounted, wherein one end of the housing is formed with an opening, and the cover plate is sealingly connected to the housing to seal the opening.
