Abstract
A composition including an extract of Moricandia for the use thereof in the prevention and/or treatment of metabolic diseases related to impaired glucose tolerance and/or insulin resistance. Also a composition including an extract of Moricandia for the use thereof in the prevention of weight gain, in particular of body fat.

A method for treating or reducing the likelihood of occurrence of a metabolic disease selected from the group consisting of:
- dyslipidemia, hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia and obesity;
- in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of an extract of Moricandia arvensis.
A method for reducing the level of cholesterol, triglycerides, and/or high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDLC) in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of an extract of Moricandia arvensis.
A method for reducing fat mass in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to said subject an effective amount of an extract of Moricandia arvensis.
