Abstract
Disclosed herein is an aqueous hair spray composition, the composition comprising: (i) 0.1 to 7.5 wt. % of a polymer blend comprising at least one nature-derived polymer selected from ethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose and blends thereof; (ii) 0.1 to 99 wt. % of at least one solvent; and (iii) optionally 0.01 to 50 wt. % of at least one hair care additive. Further disclosed herein is an aerosol hair spray composition and a non-aerosol hair spray compositions comprising these polymer blends.
Claims27
A hair spray composition comprising:
- (i) 0.1 to 7.5 wt. % of a polymer blend comprising at least one nature-derived polymer selected from ethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose and blends thereof;
- (ii) 0.1 to 99 wt. % of at least one solvent;
- and
- (iii) optionally 0.01 to 50 wt. % of at least one hair care additive.
The hair spray composition according to claim 16, wherein the propellant is selected from the group consisting of dimethyl ether, isopentane, n-butane, isobutane, propane, hydrofluorocarbon 152a, 1,1,1,3-tetrafluoro propene, carbon dioxide, compressed air, nitrogen, nitrous oxide or mixtures thereof.
An aerosol hair spray composition comprising:
- (a) (i) 0.1 to 7.5 wt. % of a polymer blend comprising at least one nature-derived polymer selected from ethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose and blends thereof;
- (ii) 0.01 to 50 wt. % of at least one hair care additive;
- and
- (iii) 0.1 to 99.9 wt. % of at least one solvent;
- and
- (b) at least one propellant.
A non-aerosol hair spray composition comprising:
- (a) (i) 0.1 to 7.5 wt. % of a polymer blend comprising at least one nature-derived polymer selected from ethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose and blends thereof;
- (ii) 0.01 to 50 wt. % of at least one hair care additive;
- and
- (iii) 0.1 to 99.9 wt. % of at least one solvent.
