Hydrocarbon swelling particles for wellbore cementing include a crosslinked polymer comprising vinyl aromatic monomer and/or (meth)acrylic monomer.
Claims20
A composition for use in wellbores comprising:
- hydrocarbon swelling particles;
- wherein the particles comprise a crosslinked polymer that comprises vinyl aromatic monomer and a (meth)acrylic monomer.
A wellbore cementing composition comprising:
- cement powder;
- and
- hydrocarbon swelling particles comprising a crosslinked polymer comprising a vinyl aromatic monomer and a (meth)acrylic monomer.
