Abstract
Provided herein are pharmaceutical compositions comprising tumoricidal and/or antimicrobial components isolated from the supernatant of NK-92 cell medium and methods of using the compositions for killing cancer cells.
Claims6
A cell-based method of treating cancer, comprising:
- administering to a patient in need thereof a composition that comprises a plurality of NK-92 cells and cytotoxic exosomes and/or microvesicles generated from the NK-92 cells;
- wherein the NK-92 cells are a subpopulation of wild type NK-92 cells or modified NK-92 cells;
- wherein the subpopulation of wild type NK-92 cells or modified NK-92 cells were grown under conditions and for a time sufficient to produce the cytotoxic exosomes.
