Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) that includes a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring adaptation field indicating to skip PDCCH monitoring for a duration on an active downlink bandwidth part (BWP) of a serving cell. The UE may transmit a NACK, in accordance with a feedback mode, based at least in part on an incorrectly decoded physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission. The UE may perform, based at least in part on the NACK, PDCCH monitoring for PDCCH candidates carrying groupcast scheduling DCIs. The UE may skip, based at least in part on the NACK, PDCCH monitoring for PDCCH candidates carrying unicast scheduling DCIs. Numerous other aspects are described.
