Data processing method and related apparatus

A data processing method, wherein the method comprises:

• generating, by a first optical network unit (ONU), a data frame;
• determining, by the first ONU, a traffic type corresponding to service data carried in the data frame, wherein the traffic type comprises east-west traffic or north-south traffic;
• and
• sending, by the first ONU, the data frame to an optical line terminal (OLT) in an uplink data sending manner corresponding to the traffic type, wherein an uplink data sending manner corresponding to the east-west traffic is different from an uplink data sending manner corresponding to the north-south traffic.

An optical communication apparatus, wherein the optical communication apparatus comprises a processor, and the processor is configured to execute a computer program or computer instructions in a memory, to perform the method comprising:

• receiving a data frame from a first optical network unit (ONU), wherein the data frame carries service data;
• determining a traffic type corresponding to the service data, wherein the traffic type comprises east-west traffic or north-south traffic;
• and
• performing a corresponding operation on the data frame in a processing manner corresponding to the traffic type, wherein a processing manner corresponding to the east-west traffic is different from a processing manner corresponding to the north-south traffic.
