Devices and method for providing remote control hints on a display

An electronic device comprising:

• one or more processors;
• memory;
• and
• one or more programs, wherein the electronic device is in communication with one or more input devices and a display, and wherein the one or more programs are stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors, which when executed cause the electronic device to perform a method comprising:
• while displaying, via the display, media content that is being played at the electronic device, detecting an event corresponding to display of a user interface associated with media consumption of a user of the electronic device;
• and
• in response to detecting the event:
• displaying, via the display, a plurality of representations of a plurality of media content items associated with media consumption of the user of the electronic device, wherein the plurality of representations is overlaid on the media content and includes:
• a first representation corresponding to a first media content item that the user has previously consumed;
• and
• in accordance with a determination that a second media content item,
• different from the first media content item, is upcoming for consumption by the user, a second representation corresponding to the second media content item.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs, the one or more programs comprising instructions, which when executed by one or more processors of an electronic device in communication with one or more input devices and a display, cause the electronic device to perform a method comprising:

• while displaying, via the display, media content that is being played at the electronic device, detecting an event corresponding to display of a user interface associated with media consumption of a user of the electronic device;
• and
• in response to detecting the event:
• displaying, via the display, a plurality of representations of a plurality of media content items associated with media consumption of the user of the electronic device, wherein the plurality of representations is overlaid on the media content and includes:
• a first representation corresponding to a first media content item that the user has previously consumed;
• and
• in accordance with a determination that a second media content item,
• different from the first media content item, is upcoming for consumption by the user, a second representation corresponding to the second media content item.
