Abstract
An image encoding/decoding method and apparatus of the present invention may derive motion information of a current block, and perform motion compensation for the current block on the basis of the motion information. The motion information of the current block is derived on the basis of an inter-mode predefined in an encoding/decoding apparatus, and the predefined inter-mode may include at least one of a merge mode, an AMVP mode, an affine mode, or an intra block copy (IBC) mode.
Claims8
A method of decoding an image performed by a decoding apparatus, the method comprising:
- determining a merge candidate list for a current block including a combined merge candidate that is derived by combining motion vectors of a first merge candidate and a second merge candidate;
- determining a merge candidate indicating a reference picture and a motion vector from the merge candidate list;
- and
- predicting the current block based on the merge candidate, and
- wherein the combined merge candidate is constructed when a number of merge candidates in the merge candidate list is less than a predetermined number.
A method of encoding an image performed by an encoding apparatus, the method comprising:
- determining a merge candidate list for a current block including a combined merge candidate that is derived by combining motion vectors of two merge candidates;
- determining a merge candidate indicating a reference picture and a motion vector from the merge candidate list;
- and
- predicting the current block based on the merge candidate, and
- wherein the combined merge candidate is constructed when a number of merge candidates in the merge candidate list is less than a predetermined number.
An image transmitting method of transmitting a bitstream that is generated by encoding an image based on an image encoding method, the image encoding method comprising:
- determining a merge candidate list for a current block including a combined merge candidate that is derived by combining motion vectors of two merge candidates;
- determining a merge candidate indicating a reference picture and a motion vector from the merge candidate list;
- and
- predicting the current block based on the merge candidate, and
- wherein the combined merge candidate is constructed when a number of merge candidates in the merge candidate list is less than a predetermined number.
