Abstract
A method, performed by an electronic device, for adaptively encoding a video, including: identifying a network bandwidth; determining whether a scene transition occurs in a first frame, based a plurality of partial frames corresponding to the first frame and at least one second frame reproduced before the first frame; selecting a preprocessing specification corresponding to the first frame, based on the network bandwidth and a result of the determining; preprocessing the first frame based on the preprocessing specification; and encoding the first frame.
Claims15
A method, performed by an electronic device, for adaptively encoding a video, the method comprising:
- identifying a network bandwidth;
- determining whether a scene transition occurs in a first frame, based a plurality of partial frames corresponding to the first frame and at least one second frame reproduced before the first frame;
- selecting a preprocessing specification corresponding to the first frame, based on the network bandwidth and a result of the determining;
- preprocessing the first frame based on the preprocessing specification;
- and
- encoding the first frame.
An electronic device for adaptively encoding a video, the electronic device comprising:
- a communication interface;
- at least one processor;
- and
- a memory configured to store one or more instructions which, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the electronic device to:
- identify a network bandwidth;
- determine whether a scene transition occurs in a first frame, based on a plurality of partial frames corresponding to the first frame and at least one second frame reproduced before the first frame;
- select a preprocessing specification corresponding to the first frame, based on the network bandwidth and a result of the determining;
- preprocess the first frame, based on the preprocessing specification;
- and
- encode the first frame.
A computer-readable recording medium having recorded thereon instructions which, when executed by at least one processor of an electronic device for adaptively encoding a video, cause the electronic device to:
- identify a network bandwidth;
- determine whether a scene transition occurs in a first frame, based a plurality of partial frames corresponding to the first frame and at least one second frame reproduced before the first frame;
- select a preprocessing specification corresponding to the first frame, based on the network bandwidth and a result of the determining;
- preprocess the first frame based on the preprocessing specification;
- and
- encode the first frame.
