Real-time rdma fabric

A computing device comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory including instructions that, when executed with the processor, cause the computing device to, at least:
• obtain performance metric data of one or more hardware components included in a network fabric;
• collect flow information of one or more workloads that are executed on the network fabric;
• and
• apply a configuration policy to the one or more hardware components of the network fabric based on the performance metric data and the flow information of the one or more workloads, wherein application of the configuration policy modifies at least one operational parameter of the one or more hardware components of the network fabric.

One or more computer readable non-transitory media storing specific computer-executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause a computer system to at least:

• obtaining, by a controller, performance metric data of one or more hardware components included in a network fabric;
• collecting, by the controller, flow information of one or more workloads that are executed on the network fabric;
• and
• applying, by the controller, a configuration policy to the one or more hardware components of the network fabric based on the performance metric data and the flow information of the one or more workloads, wherein application of the configuration policy modifies at least one operational parameter of the one or more hardware components of the network fabric.
