Abstract
The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for sending a multi-tone signal. One example method includes generating a first multi-tone signal, and sending the first multi-tone signal. The first multi-tone signal includes N single-tone signals. Amplitude values of the single-tone signals are the same. Initial phases of at least two of the N single-tone signals are the same or absolute values of initial phases of at least two of the N single-tone signals are the same. N is an integer greater than or equal to 2.

A method for sending a multi-tone signal, comprising:
- generating a first multi-tone signal, wherein the first multi-tone signal comprises N single-tone signals, wherein amplitude values of the N single-tone signals are the same, wherein initial phases of at least two of the N single-tone signals are the same or absolute values of initial phases of at least two of the N single-tone signals are the same, and wherein N is an integer greater than or equal to 2;
- and
- sending the first multi-tone signal.
An apparatus for sending a multi-tone signal, comprising:
- at least one processor;
- at least one memory coupled to the at least one processor and storing programming instructions for execution by the at least one processor to generate a first multi-tone signal, wherein the first multi-tone signal comprises N single-tone signals, wherein amplitude values of the N single-tone signals are the same, wherein initial phases of at least two of the N single-tone signals are the same or absolute values of initial phases of at least two of the N single-tone signals are the same, and wherein N is an integer greater than or equal to 2;
- and
- a transceiver, the transceiver configured to send the first multi-tone signal.
