Controlling Data on a Full-Duplex Fronthaul Link

A baseband device configured for coupling to one or more radio devices via a full-duplex fronthaul link, the baseband device comprising:

• a memory storing computer program instructions;
• and
• a processor operative to execute the computer program instructions, whereby the baseband device is caused to:
• transmit respective downlink data via the full-duplex fronthaul link for each one of first and second radio layers supported by the one or more radio devices and receiving respective uplink data via the full-duplex fronthaul link for each one of first and second radio layers;
• and
• operate the first and second radio layers according to respective first and second Time Division Duplex (TDD) schedules having a relative positioning of respective uplink periods and downlink periods that at least reduces times during which both radio layers have a same transmission direction and thereby reduces maximum amounts of aggregated uplink TDD data and aggregated downlink TDD data that must be carried by the full-duplex fronthaul for the first and second radio layers.
