Method and apparatus for performing uplink transmission and reception in wireless communication system

A user equipment (UE) that performs uplink transmission in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:

• at least one transceiver;
• and
• at least one processor connected to the at least one transceiver,
• wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
• receive, from a base station through the at least one transceiver, first information related to repeated transmission of a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble;
• perform repeated transmission of the PRACH preamble based on the first information;
• receive, from the base station through the at least one transceiver, a random access response (RAR) including a field related to repeated transmission of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH);
• and
• perform repeated transmission of the PUSCH based on the RAR,
• wherein a number of the repeated transmission of the PUSCH is based on a number of the repeated transmission of the PRACH preamble.

A base station that performs uplink reception in a wireless communication system, the base station comprising:

• at least one transceiver;
• and
• at least one processor connected to the at least one transceiver,
• wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
• transmit, to a user equipment (UE) through the at least one transceiver, first information related to repeated transmission of a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble;
• perform repeated reception of the PRACH preamble based on the first information;
• transmit, to the UE through the at least one transceiver, a random access response (RAR) including a field related to repeated transmission of a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH);
• and
• perform repeated reception of the PUSCH based on the RAR,
• wherein a number of the repeated transmission of the PUSCH is based on a number of the repeated transmission of the PRACH preamble.
