Methods and systems for implementing stream data updates

A system comprising:

• a storage device, the storage device comprising memory and processing circuitry, wherein the processing circuitry is configured to:
• write a first stream data to a first portion of the memory, wherein the first stream data comprises a plurality of substreams;
• write first additional data to a second portion of the memory, wherein the first additional data:
• comprises data indicative of an update of at least one substream of the first stream data, and
• is no larger than a substream of the plurality of substreams of the first stream data;
• and
• concurrent with writing the first additional data, write second additional data to the second portion of the memory, wherein the second additional data comprises at least one of:
• data indicative of an update of at least one substream of a second stream data, wherein the second data stream is different than the first data stream, or
• non-stream data.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having non-transitory computer-readable instructions encoded thereon that, when executed by processing circuitry, cause the processing circuitry to:

• write a first stream data to a first portion of memory, wherein the first stream data comprises a plurality of substreams;
• write first additional data to a second portion of memory, wherein the first additional data:
• comprises data indicative of an update of at least one substream of the first stream data, and
• is no larger than a substream of the plurality of substreams of the first stream data;
• and
• concurrent with writing the first additional data, write second additional data to the second portion of memory, wherein the second additional data comprises at least one of:
• data indicative of an update of at least one substream of a second stream data, wherein the second data stream is different than the first data stream, or
• non-stream data.
