Method and apparatus for a silent blower in an information handling system

An information handling system comprising:

• a processor, a memory device, and a power management unit (PMU) to provide power to the processor, memory device, and an ionic driving circuit;
• an ion emitter/collector blower cooling system including an ion emitter with an outer concentric arrangement of ion emitter blades and an ion collector with an inner concentric arrangement of ion collector blades;
• the ionic driving circuit operatively coupled to the ion emitter to couple a first voltage to the outer concentric arrangement of ion emitter blades to ionize gases at the ion emitter to create charged ions;
• and
• the ionic driving circuit operatively coupled to the ion collector to apply a second voltage to attract the charged ions from the ion emitter to create an airflow from the ion emitter to the ion collector, where the airflow passes through the inner concentric arrangement of the ion collector blades from within a chassis of the information handling system.

An information handling system comprising:

• a processor, a memory device, and a power management unit (PMU) to provide power to the processor and memory device;
• an ion emitter/collector blower cooling system including an ion emitter with an inner concentric arrangement of ion emitter blades and an ion collector with an outer concentric arrangement of ion collector blades within an ion emitter/collector housing of the ion emitter/collector blower cooling system;
• an ionic driving circuit operatively coupled to the ion emitter to couple a first voltage to the inner concentric arrangement of ion emitter blades to ionize gases at the ion emitter to create charged ions;
• the ionic driving circuit operatively coupled to the ion collector to apply a second voltage to attract the charged ions from the ion emitter to create an airflow from the ion emitter to the ion collector, where the airflow passes through the outer concentric arrangement of the ion collector blades and into a chassis of the information handling system;
• and
• the ion emitter/collector housing of the ion emitter/collector blower cooling system having an opening on one side of the ion emitter/collector blower cooling system to direct the airflow out of the opening and into a directed portion of the chassis of the information handling system.
