Hinge Mechanism and Electronic Device

An electronic device comprising:

• a flexible display;
• and
• a hinge mechanism coupled to the flexible display and comprising:
• a base comprising a first base side that faces the flexible display and that has a base support surface;
• at least one hinge assembly comprising:
• a first rotating assembly comprising:
• a first housing fastening bracket comprising a first housing fastening bracket first side that faces the flexible display and that has a first housing fastening bracket support surface;
• and
• a first rotating element rotatably couples to the base and the first housing fastening bracket;
• and
• a second rotating assembly comprising:
• a second housing fastening bracket comprising a second housing fastening bracket first side that faces the flexible display and that has a second housing fastening bracket support surface;
• and
• a second rotating element that rotatably couples to the base and the second housing fastening bracket,
• wherein the first rotating assembly and the second rotating assembly are disposed opposite to each other on two sides of the base,
• wherein the first housing fastening bracket support surface, the second housing fastening bracket support surface, and the base support surface are separately coupled to the flexible display and form:
• a flat support surface for supporting the flexible display when the hinge mechanism is in a flattened state;
• and
• a U-shaped support surface for supporting the flexible display when the hinge mechanism is in a folded state;
• and
• a first hinge side, and
• wherein the flexible display is disposed on the first hinge side and is coupled to the first housing fastening bracket support surface, the second housing fastening bracket support surface, and the base support surface;
• a first sliding limiting assembly coupled between the first housing fastening bracket and the base and comprising:
• a first limiting gear comprising:
• a first limiting gear shaft disposed on the base;
• and
• a first limiting gear body sleeved on the first limiting gear shaft;
• and
• a first limiting gear swing rod comprising:
• a first limiting sliding block comprising a first limiting sliding block end that faces the base;
• and
• a first limiting gear part disposed at the first limiting sliding block end and configured to mesh with the first limiting gear body;
• and
• a second sliding limiting assembly coupled between the second housing fastening bracket and the base and comprising:
• a second limiting gear comprising:
• a second limiting gear shaft disposed on the base;
• and
• a second limiting gear body sleeved on the second limiting gear shaft and configured to mesh with the first limiting gear body;
• and
• a second limiting gear swing rod comprising:
• a second limiting sliding block comprising a second limiting sliding block end that faces the base;
• and
• a second limiting gear part disposed at the second limiting sliding block end and configured to mesh with the second limiting gear body.
