Abstract

A method for making an absorbent sanitary article (10) comprises: applying a plurality of adhesive portions (16, 17) on a backsheet web (114), each adhesive portion (16, 17) comprising a removable covering sheet (4) and a glue layer (5) overlaid on said covering sheet (4); subsequently, forming a multilayer web (30) of absorbent sanitary article (10) comprising said backsheet web (114), a topsheet web (112), a plurality of absorbent cores (18) interposed between said topsheet web (112) and said backsheet web (114), and said plurality of adhesive portions (16, 17) applied to said backsheet web (114), wherein said adhesive portions (16, 17) are arranged on said backsheet web (114) on opposite sides with respect to said plurality of absorbent cores (18).
