Abstract
The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. The disclosure relates to operations of a UE and a base station in a communication system. More specifically, the disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for enabling a UE to transmit and receive data through multiple cells by using one piece of downlink control information.
Claims20
A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- receiving, from a base station, configuration information on a maximum number of transport blocks (TBs) included in a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH);
- receiving, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) including a redundancy version (RV) field;
- identifying at least one disabled TB among the TBs included in the PDSCH based on a size of the RV field;
- and
- receiving, from the base station, the at least one disabled TB on the PDSCH.
A method performed by a base station in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
- transmitting, to a terminal, configuration information on a maximum number of transport blocks (TBs) included in a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH);
- transmitting, to the terminal, downlink control information (DCI) including a redundancy version (RV) field;
- and
- transmitting, to the terminal, the TBs included in the PDSCH,
- wherein at least one disabled TB among the TBs included in the PDSCH is identified based on a size of the RV field.
A terminal in a wireless communication system, the terminal comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
- receive, from a base station, configuration information on a maximum number of transport blocks (TBs) included in a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH),
- receive, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) including a redundancy version (RV) field,
- identify at least one disabled TB among the TBs included in the PDSCH based on a size of the RV field, and
- receive, from the base station, the at least one disabled TB on the PDSCH.
A base station in a wireless communication system, the base station comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- at least one processor coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
- transmit, to a terminal, configuration information on a maximum number of transport blocks (TBs) included in a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH),
- transmit, to the terminal, downlink control information (DCI) including a redundancy version (RV) field, and
- transmit, to the terminal, the TBs included in the PDSCH,
- wherein at least one disabled TB among the TBs included in the PDSCH is identified based on a size of the RV field.
