Abstract
This application provides communication methods and apparatuses. In an example method, a network device obtains a measurement result of a first signal, where antenna elements corresponding to the first signal are N of M antenna elements, and N is less than M; and when the measurement result of the first signal is better than a first threshold, the network device sends a second signal based on the N antenna elements.

A method, comprising:
- obtaining a measurement result of a first signal, wherein the first signal corresponds to N of M antenna elements, M and N are positive integers, and N is less than M;
- and
- in response to the measurement result of the first signal indicating a better performance than a first threshold, sending a second signal based on the N antenna elements.
An apparatus, comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program to be executed by the at least one processor, the at least one program comprising instructions that, in response to execution by the at least one processor, causes the apparatus to:
- obtain a measurement result of a first signal, wherein the first signal corresponds to N of M antenna elements, M and N are positive integers, and N is less than M;
- and
- in response to the measurement result of the first signal indicating a better performance than a first threshold, send a second signal based on the N antenna elements.
The apparatus according to claim 10, the at least one program further comprising instructions to:
- send configuration information of the first signal.
The apparatus according to claim 10, wherein the measurement result comprises a spectral efficiency.
