Projection device and projection method

A projection method, suitable for a projection device, wherein the projection device comprises an optical engine, a distance measuring unit, and a processor and is suitable for projecting to a target area, and the projection method comprises:

• emitting a testing light to the target area by the distance measuring unit and receiving a reflected light formed by the reflection of the testing light, wherein the distance measuring unit generates a plurality of pieces of corresponding distance information according to the reflected light received and a plurality of predetermined areas of the target area;
• receiving the plurality of pieces of distance information from the distance measuring unit by the processor and generating a plurality of pieces of area distance information according to the plurality of pieces of distance information;
• performing determining on the plurality of pieces of area distance information in order to select a mode of a plurality of pieces of sub-area distance information by the processor from the plurality of pieces of sub-area distance information comprised in each of the plurality of pieces of area distance information as corrected distance information corresponding to each of the plurality of areas;
• and
• controlling the optical engine by the processor to project an image beam to form a projected image in the target area according to the corrected distance information of each of the plurality of areas.
