Enabling service api analytics in a wireless communications system

A method performed by a network node, the method comprising:

• receiving, from a consumer of a service application programming interface (API), a request for a service API analytics event, the request comprising a requirement for service API information;
• collecting service API logs from one or more service API sources based at least in part on the service API analytics event;
• deriving analytics for one or more service APIs based at least in part on the service API logs to produce at least one service API analytics parameter;
• and
• transmitting, to the consumer, the at least one service API analytics parameter to the consumer.

A processor for wireless communication, comprising:

• at least one controller coupled with at least one memory and configured to cause the processor to:
• receive, from a consumer of a service application programming interface (API), a request for a service API analytics event, the request comprising a requirement for service API information;
• collect service API logs from one or more service API sources based at least in part on the service API analytics event;
• derive analytics for one or more service APIs based at least in part on the service API logs to produce at least one service API analytics parameter;
• and
• transmit, to the consumer, the at least one service API analytics parameter to the consumer.
