Abstract
A device, communication system, and method are provided. In one example, a system for reducing latency in out-of-order data transfers is described that includes circuits to detect a network error; and in response to detecting the network error, transmit a notification to at least one of a plurality of connected nodes that the network error was detected, wherein the notification causes each node that receives the notification to change at least one transport layer parameter.
Claims20
A method for reducing latency in out-of-order data transfers, the method comprising:
- detecting a network error;
- in response to detecting the network error, transmitting a notification to connected nodes that the network error was detected;
- and
- reducing, by each node that receives the notification, for a predetermined amount of time a timeout for requesting retransmission, wherein after the predetermined amount of time the timeout for requesting retransmission reverts back to an original value.
A system for reducing latency in out-of-order data transfers, the system comprising one or more circuits to:
- detect a network error;
- and
- in response to detecting the network error, transmit a notification to at least one of a plurality of connected nodes that the network error was detected, wherein the notification causes each node that receives the notification to reduce for a predetermined amount of time a timeout for requesting retransmission, and wherein after the predetermined amount of time the timeout for requesting retransmission reverts back to an original value.
A device for reducing latency in out-of-order data transfers, the device comprising:
- an interface to detect a network error;
- and
- processing circuitry to, in response to detecting the network error, transmit a notification to connected nodes that the network error was detected, wherein the notification causes each node that receives the notification to reduce a latency threshold for a predetermined amount of time, and wherein after the predetermined amount of time the latency threshold reverts back to an original value.
