Abstract
An antenna module includes radio frequency circuits and a front end circuit that transfers a signal between a BBIC and the radio frequency circuits. The front end circuit includes switches that are connected to the radio frequency circuits, switches that are connected to the BBIC, and branching elements. The front end circuit is configured to, by switching of each of the switches, switch between a first state in which a signal is transferred between one of the radio frequency circuit and the radio frequency circuit and the BBIC and a second state in which a signal is transferred between both the radio frequency circuits and the BBIC.
Claims20
An antenna module that transmits and receives a signal to and from a baseband circuit, the antenna module comprising:
- a plurality of radio frequency circuits each including at least one antenna element;
- and
- a front end circuit that transfers a signal between the baseband circuit and the plurality of radio frequency circuits,
- wherein the front end circuit includes
- a first switch circuit that is connected to the plurality of radio frequency circuits,
- a second switch circuit that is connected to the baseband circuit, and
- a first branching circuit that is connected between the first switch circuit and the second switch circuit,
- wherein the plurality of radio frequency circuits include a first radio frequency circuit and a second radio frequency circuit, and
- wherein the front end circuit is configured to, by switching of the first switch circuit and the second switch circuit, switch between a first state in which a signal is transferred between one of the first radio frequency circuit and the second radio frequency circuit and the baseband circuit and a second state in which a signal is transferred between both the first radio frequency circuit and the second radio frequency circuit and the baseband circuit.
A front end circuit that transfers a signal between a baseband circuit and a plurality of radio frequency circuits, the front end circuit comprising:
- a first switch circuit that is connected to the plurality of radio frequency circuits;
- a second switch circuit that is connected to the baseband circuit;
- and
- a first branching circuit that is connected between the first switch circuit and the second switch circuit,
- wherein the plurality of radio frequency circuits include a first radio frequency circuit and a second radio frequency circuit, and
- wherein the front end circuit is configured to, by switching of the first switch circuit and the second switch circuit, switch between a first state in which a signal is transferred between one of the first radio frequency circuit and the second radio frequency circuit and the baseband circuit and a second state in which a signal is transferred between both the first radio frequency circuit and the second radio frequency circuit and the baseband circuit.
