Abstract
An electrode for a rechargeable lithium battery, and an electrode assembly and a rechargeable lithium battery including the same are provided. The electrode for a rechargeable lithium battery includes a current collector including a substrate and a substrate tab extending from one end of the substrate; an electrode active material layer on the substrate; and a heat dissipating coating layer on the substrate tab.

An electrode comprising:
- a current collector comprising a substrate and a substrate tab extending from an end of the substrate;
- an electrode active material layer on the substrate;
- and
- a heat dissipating coating layer on the substrate tab and comprising a heat dissipating material,
- wherein the electrode is for a rechargeable lithium battery.
