Abstract

The present invention relates to a silicon-carbon mixture and an anode active material comprising same. The silicon-carbon mixture comprises a first composite comprising first silicon particles and a first carbon, and a second composite comprising second silicon particles, a magnesium compound and a second carbon. The molar ratio (O/Si) of oxygen (O) atoms to silicon (Si) atoms in the silicon-carbon mixture satisfies a specific range such that, if the silicon-carbon mixture is applied to an anode active material, the discharge capacity, initial efficiency and cycle capacity retention of a lithium secondary battery can be improved simultaneously.
