Commodity delivery contract with automated escrow contract

A system comprising:

• a distributed ledger network;
• at least one processing circuit configured to:
• create, by a first node associated with a first user of the distributed ledger network, an automated escrow contract on the distributed ledger network by providing contract information specifying an offer and at least one first key indicating ownership of an asset associated with the offer, wherein a value of the asset is identified by a unique tracking identifier, the unique tracking identifier comprising at least one second key associated with the unique tracking identifier;
• accept, by a second node associated with a second user of the distributed ledger network, the offer by providing a payment amount of a digital currency unit to the automated escrow contract on the distributed ledger network via an exchange of key pairs representative of the payment amount of the digital currency unit that prevents double spending of the payment amount of the digital currency unit;
• confirm, by the second node, that the automated escrow contract has been completed by updating a completed state of the automated escrow contract from false to true;
• responsive to the completed state being updated from false to true, automatically release, by the automated escrow contract, the payment amount of the digital currency unit from the automated escrow contract to the first user;
• charge, by the automated escrow contract, a fee based on the payment amount of the digital currency unit;
• send, by the automated escrow contract, the fee to an asset issuer computing device;
• determine, by the asset issuer computing device, an amount of promise-to-pay type digital currency owned by one or more users on the distributed ledger network;
• and
• distribute, by a third node of the distributed ledger network and associated with the asset computing device, the fee on a percentage basis to the one or more users on the distributed ledger network based on the amount of promise-to-pay type digital currency each user owns.

One or more computer-readable storage media having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by at least one processing circuit, cause the at least one processing circuit to:

• create, by a first node associated with a first user of a distributed ledger network, an automated escrow contract on the distributed ledger network by providing contract information specifying an offer and at least one first key indicating ownership of an asset associated with the offer, wherein a value of the asset is identified by a unique tracking identifier, the unique tracking identifier comprising at least one second key associated with the unique tracking identifier;
• accept, by a second node associated with a second user of the distributed ledger network, the offer by providing a payment amount of a digital currency unit to the automated escrow contract on the distributed ledger network via an exchange of key pairs representative of the payment amount of the digital currency unit that prevents double spending of the payment amount of the digital currency unit;
• confirm, by the second node, that the automated escrow contract has been completed by updating a completed state of the automated escrow contract from false to true;
• responsive to the completed state being updated from false to true, automatically release, by the automated escrow contract, the payment amount of the digital currency unit from the automated escrow contract to the first user;
• charge, by the automated escrow contract, a fee based on the payment amount of the digital currency unit;
• send, by the automated escrow contract, the fee to an asset issuer computing device;
• determine, by the asset issuer computing device, an amount of promise-to-pay type digital currency owned by one or more users on the distributed ledger network;
• and
• distribute, by a third node of the distributed ledger network and associated with the asset computing device, the fee on a percentage basis to the one or more users on the distributed ledger network based on the amount of promise-to-pay type digital currency each user owns.
