Abstract
A configurable application includes a domain model having one or more model entities. Representation entities provide representations of model entities and can include input definitions, output definitions, and structure definitions. Input definitions can define a grid having cells that can be bound, based on states, to various model entity attributes.
Claims19
One or more non-transitory machine-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon for providing a visual representation of at least a portion of a domain model, the instructions configured to be executed by a processor to cause the processor to perform a plurality of steps, the plurality of steps comprising:
- defining a grid wherein defining the grid comprises defining a layout comprising a plurality of adjacent cells;
- defining at least one state corresponding to at least one cell of the plurality of adjacent cells;
- and
- creating at least one binding, wherein the at least one binding binds the at least one cell to at least one of a model entity, a model entity attribute, and a stored representation of a state of at least a portion of the domain model, and wherein the at least one binding is active based on whether the at least one state is active or inactive.
One or more non-transitory machine-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon for creating a visual representation of at least a portion of a domain model, the instructions configured to be executed by a processor to cause the processor to perform a plurality of steps, the plurality of steps comprising:
- selecting a set of arbitrary dimensions of the domain model;
- defining a first visual representation of the selected arbitrary dimensions of the domain model, wherein the first visual representation provides a first view of at least a portion of the domain model and conveys information using the number of dimensions of the selected arbitrary dimensions;
- and
- providing a second visual representation of the selected arbitrary dimensions of the domain model, wherein the second visual representation provides a second view of at least a portion of the domain model, the second visual representation comprising a fewer number of arbitrary dimensions than the number of dimensions in the selected set of arbitrary dimensions, and wherein the second view conveys information using a dimensionality based on the selected set of arbitrary dimensions.
One or more non-transitory machine-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon for providing a plurality of visual representations of at least a portion of a domain model, wherein the plurality of visual representations models are selectable, the instructions configured to be executed by a processor to cause the processor to perform a plurality of steps, the plurality of steps comprising:
- providing a first domain model representation entity, the first domain model representation entity comprising a first visual representation of at least a portion of the domain model;
- providing a second domain model representation entity, the second domain model representation entity comprising of a second visual representation of at least a portion of the domain model;
- and
- selecting either the first domain model representation entity or the second domain model representation entity.
