Modification of Media Playback

Non-transitory computer-readable medium, wherein the non-transitory computer-readable medium is provisioned with program instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a system to:

• receive data indicating a command to play back media content;
• based on the data indicating the command, determine a playback condition comprising a location from a plurality of locations within a media playback system comprising a first playback device and at least a second playback device;
• identify, from one or more user accounts associated with the media playback system, a given user account associated with the data indicating the command;
• based at least on (i) the determined playback condition and (ii) one or more properties of the given user account, identify given media content for playback;
• and
• cause the first playback device to execute the command by beginning to play back the given media content.

A method carried out by a system, the method comprising:

• receiving data indicating a command to play back media content;
• based on the data indicating the command, determining a playback condition comprising a location from a plurality of locations within a media playback system comprising a first playback device and at least a second playback device;
• identifying, from one or more user accounts associated with the media playback system, a given user account associated with the data indicating the command;
• based at least on (i) the determined playback condition and (ii) one or more properties of the given user account, identifying given media content for playback;
• and
• causing the first playback device to execute the command by beginning to play back the given media content.
