Abstract
A method for producing ethyl lactate includes subjecting lactic acid and ethanol to an esterification reaction in the presence of an antimony catalyst, so as to obtain ethyl lactate. The antimony catalyst is selected from the group consisting of antimony trioxide, antimony pentoxide, antimony trichloride, and combinations thereof, and the esterification reaction is carried out at a temperature ranging from 80° C. to 88° C. and under a pressure of 1 atm.

A method for producing ethyl lactate, comprising:
- subjecting lactic acid and ethanol to an esterification reaction in the presence of an antimony catalyst, so as to obtain ethyl lactate, the antimony catalyst being selected from the group consisting of antimony trioxide, antimony pentoxide, antimony trichloride, and combinations thereof, the esterification reaction being carried out at a temperature ranging from 80° C. to 88° C. and under a pressure of 1 atm.
