Abstract
A method for producing cement comprises: obtaining a first hydroxide; forming a first carbonate from the first hydroxide; forming a mixture by mixing the first carbonate, magnesium oxide and zeolite; and allowing the mixture to cure to thereby form cement.

A method of producing cement, the method comprising:
- obtaining a first hydroxide by electrolyzing a first brine;
- forming a first carbonate from the first hydroxide;
- forming a mixture by mixing the first carbonate, magnesium oxide and zeolite;
- and
- allowing the mixture to cure to thereby form cement.
