Apparatus and method for recommending a charging station for an electric vehicle

A method for recommending a charging station for an electric vehicle, the method comprising:

• collecting, by a processor, vehicle driving information from a plurality of vehicles;
• determining, by the processor, an average stay time of the plurality of vehicles for each position by using vehicle driving information collected from the plurality of vehicles;
• determining, by the processor, a charging time it takes for a target vehicle to recommend a charging station to reach a destination and charge to a target charging station in response to vehicle information received from the target vehicle;
• and
• recommending, by the processor, one or more charging stations located around the destination as the target vehicle based on the determined charging time and the average stay time for each position.
