Compensating footprint length for inflation pressure changes

A system, comprising:

• a computing device comprising a processor and a memory;
• and
• machine-readable instructions stored in the memory that, when executed by the processor, cause the computing device to at least:
• receive, from a sensor, a tire pressure measurement for a tire;
• receive, from the sensor, an uncompensated footprint length for the tire;
• calculate an inflation difference between the tire pressure measurement and a target tire pressure for the tire;
• calculate an inflation ratio by at least on finding a quotient of the inflation difference over the target tire pressure for the tire;
• determine a compensated footprint length based at least in part on the inflation ratio.

A non-transitory, computer-readable medium, comprising machine-readable instructions that, when executed by a processor of a computing device, cause the computing device to at least:

• receive, from a sensor, a tire pressure measurement for a tire;
• receive, from the sensor, an uncompensated footprint length for the tire;
• calculate an inflation difference between the tire pressure measurement and a target tire pressure for the tire;
• calculate an inflation ratio by at least on finding a quotient of the inflation difference over the target tire pressure for the tire;
• determine a compensated footprint length based at least in part on the inflation ratio;
• and
• cause the tire to adjust the tire pressure to achieve the compensated footprint length.
