Method for creating an artificial horizon

A method for preparing an artificial horizon for a motor vehicle, comprising:

• receiving input data relating to the motor vehicle and to an environment of the motor vehicle;
• determining various paths able to be taken by the motor vehicle;
• and
• generating messages characterizing said artificial horizon, the messages including at least one long message associated with an event found on any of the, each long message containing a plurality of fields, including at least a first field relating to a type of attribute characterizing the event and a second field indicating the value of this attribute,
• wherein the first field is configured to take at least two separate values associated with a corresponding number of respective predefined categories of temporary events, said categories being grouped by speed of the temporary event and/or position of the temporary event relative to the motor vehicle.
