Display device and operating method thereof

A method of operating a display device, the method comprising:

• identifying whether a first category hub application providing one or more applications belonging to a first category is activated;
• providing a specified user input interface for an item representing a first application received and installed from a server according to an application download request;
• identifying, in response to receiving an input for selecting the specified user input interface, whether the first application corresponds to the first category;
• and
• providing, in response to identifying that the first category hub application is activated and that the first application corresponds to the first category, an item for starting execution of the first application to the first category hub application.

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium having recorded thereon one or more programs which, when executed by at least one processor, comprising processing circuitry, of a display device, individually and/or collectively, causes the display device to perform a method comprising:

• identifying whether a first category hub application providing one or more applications belonging to a first category is activated;
• providing a specified user input interface for an item representing a first application received and installed from a server according to an application download request;
• identifying, in response to receiving an input for selecting the specified user input interface, whether the first application corresponds to the first category;
• and
• providing, in response to identifying that the first category hub application is activated and that the first application corresponds to the first category, an item for starting execution of the first application to the first category hub application.
