Abstract
This application relates to terminal devices, specifically to a method for reducing device power consumption, an electronic device, and a medium thereof. The method identifies different video playback scenarios and determines if a user is still watching a video based on user inactivity in these scenarios. When it is determined that the user is not watching the video, the power consumption of the terminal device is reduced.

A method for reducing device power consumption, applied to an electronic device, wherein the method comprises:
- the electronic device being in a first video playback scenario, determining that a user is not using the electronic device and that a video state on the electronic device satisfies a first state condition in the first video playback scenario;
- and
- performing at least one operation of reducing power consumption of the electronic device.
An electronic device, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and one or more memories, wherein the one or more memories store one or more programs, and when the one or more programs are executed by the one or more processors, the electronic device is enabled to perform the following operations:
- the electronic device being in a first video playback scenario, determining that a user is not using the electronic device and that a video state on the electronic device satisfies a first state condition in the first video playback scenario;
- and
- performing at least one operation of reducing power consumption of the electronic device.
A computer-readable storage medium, wherein the storage medium stores instructions, and when the instructions are executed on a computer, the computer is enabled to perform the following operations:
- the electronic device being in a first video playback scenario, determining that a user is not using the electronic device and that a video state on the electronic device satisfies a first state condition in the first video playback scenario;
- and
- performing at least one operation of reducing power consumption of the electronic device.
