A system comprising:

• a flow cytometer comprising a detector configured to detect light from cells;
• and
• an information processing apparatus comprising an analysis circuit configured to:
• calculate fluorescence data related to at least one of a plurality of fluorescent substances from spectral data of the light detected from the cells;
• cluster the cells of a first sample to obtain a clustering result of the first sample and cluster the cells of a second sample to obtain a clustering result of the second sample;
• compare the clustering result of first sample and the clustering result of the second sample based on the fluorescence data;
• based on the comparison, identify a cluster in the second sample where a number of cells between the first sample and the second sample has changed by a threshold value or greater;
• and
• output at least one of the fluorescence data or the spectral data of the cells in the identified cluster.

A method comprising:

• by a flow cytometer, detecting light from cells;
• and
• by an analysis circuit:
• calculating fluorescence data related to at least one of a plurality of fluorescent substances from spectral data of the light detected from the cells;
• clustering the cells of a first sample to obtain a clustering result of the first sample and clustering the cells of a second sample to obtain a clustering result of the second sample;
• comparing the clustering result of first sample and the clustering result of the second sample based on the fluorescence data;
• based on the comparison, identifying a cluster in the second sample where a number of cells between the first sample and the second sample has changed by a threshold value or greater;
• and
• outputting at least one of the fluorescence data or the spectral data of the cells in the identified cluster.
