Systems and methods for detecting conditions in an environment around a device

A system for collecting data, processing the data, generating alerts and displaying the alerts in a real-time or near real-time basis associated with atmospheric content testing, the system comprising:

• at least one infrared (IR) camera configured to collect IR data of the environment around the device;
• at least one gas sensor configured to collect gas concentration data of at least one gas;
• at least one particulate matter detector configured to collect particulate matter concentrations in the environment around the device, wherein at least one infrared camera, at least one gas sensor and at least one particulate matter detector forward their respective collected data to a radio, wherein the radio is configured to transmit the collected data to at least one server;
• at least one solar panel configured to generate power for at least one IR camera, at least one gas sensor and at least one particulate matter detector;
• at least one server configured to process the received data according to preconfigured instructions and to generate alerts based on a ruleset based on the processed data then to transmit the alerts;
• and
• a user interface configured to receive and display the alerts.

A method for collecting and transmitting information associated with conditions in an environment around a device, the method comprising:

• collecting, using at least one infrared camera, IR data of the environment around the device;
• collecting, using at least one gas sensor, gas concentration data of at least one gas;
• collecting, using at least one particulate matter detector, particulate matter concentrations in the environment around the device, wherein the at least one infrared camera, at least one gas sensor and at least one particulate matter detector forward their respective collected data to a radio;
• generating, using at least one solar panel, power for at least one IR camera, at least one gas sensor and at least one particulate matter detector;
• and
• transmitting, using the radio, the collected data.
